Introducing...

Chonita’s Market!

We started Vida Tortilla in 2017 and worked out of the mills in Dover NH. Through hard work and love from the community, we were able to expand to Somersworth! This allowed us to bring in more of our culture to New Hampshire.

What are we!?

Chonita’s Market is a bodega, a place where we can sell our tortillas, baked goods, spices, and made-to-serve meals. 

Vida Tortilla as a tortilleria, we have our fresh masa from our local farmers, even fresher tortillas, and chips.

Most excitingly we sell pan dulce, a mexican sweet bread, on Saturdays

Instructions on how to cook our tamales

We make our tamales in house with the same masa we use for our tortillas. Here are the instructions to cook the tamales

Steam the tamales in a vegetable steam pot for one and a half hours. Be sure to add more water for at the one hour mark. Continue until the masa pulls away from the corn husk. Enjoy :)
